Subaru Park goes zero landfill

The Subaru Brand is always looking for ways to increase its efficiency, and that extends to all aspects of its business. In fact, as the sponsor of Subaru Park in the greater Philadelphia area, the Subaru Brand has pushed the stadium to achieve zero landfill status, potentially diverting hundreds of thousands of pounds of waste from local landfills.

Now, Subaru Park is home to the immensely popular Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer team, as well as a host of other events throughout the year, so how could such a large venue achieve zero landfill status? Well, through thoughtful planning, the Subaru Brand and stadium management have developed a scheme to reduce, reuse, or recycle all waste generated at the events. The result is over 357,000 pounds of estimated waste diverted from landfills per year.
