Subaru does its part to restore wildfire-effected forests
Here at Subaru of Troy, we take a lot of pride in just how much the Subaru Brand gives back to the communities it serves. And given the ongoing threat of wildfires in the West, it’s heartening to see that the Subaru Brand has rededicated itself to its partnership to the National Forest Foundation to plant one million trees before 2022.
Now, one million trees planted may seem like an ambitious goal given that 2021 is nearly over, but it’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time that Subaru has worked with the National Forest Foundation. In fact, when wildfires ravaged California forests in 2019, the Subaru Brand launched the Forester Re-Foresting Project, planting 500,000 trees in effected areas. With this new initiative, Subaru hopes to plant a further 500,000 in forests across California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, bringing the grand total to one million trees planted.
